Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Design, implement, and maintain mission critical network infrastructure to include all servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling and Internet service providers
  • Maintain network systems and applications at highest standards for security and availability.
  • Maximize network reliability by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and scheduling maintenance and upgrades
  • Perform installation and maintenance of contract data into primary and third-party applications provide technical support to and training to members of the team.
  • Responsible for backup of all local systems and file directories applications, in coordination with the IT Manager.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform and maintain daily backup, transaction log and full backups of data.
  • Assist with development of system solutions consistent with objectives.
  • Ensure base level software applications are maintained as highest priority: assist in testing upgrades to existing applications; and assist the team in solving software failures.
  • Establish and maintain network users, user environment, directories, and security.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or comparable combination of education and experience required
  • Required: 3- 5 years of applicable work experience in maintaining network systems at highest standards for security and availability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective internal and external customer relations skills; ability to participate in and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, negotiations, complaints, and team activities
  • Ability to clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Must possess training skills that will allow communication of technical information to non-technical users.
  • Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting windows servers and desktop operating systems.
  • Hands-on tuning and troubleshooting experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco routers and switches must have excellent troubleshooting skills as well as superb customer service skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
