Internship Summary: CSX is a Fortune 250 company seeking future business leaders to help foster growth, efficiency and innovation. The selected intern will contribute over a ten week immersion into Network Operations as experienced through CSX methods and culture. This individual will complete challenging real-world assignments, working hand in hand with leaders across the company to support its strategic messages and exposure to corporate leadership. This internship provides an opportunity for candidates to gain market experience at a dynamic, large-cap company while allowing CSX to actively recruit tomorrow's best talent. This position will learn basic network operations, be introduced to internal CSX Clearance Bureau operations and associated analysis to collect external/internal customer front end requests, convert to actionable movement operation and develop work/develop internal Power BI dashboard/reports and SalesForce data extraction. This program is a paid 10 week internship and will based in Jacksonville, FL. Internship Details:
- This is a 10 Week Summer Internship Program starting on May 26, 2026 and ending July 31, 2026. (Location: CSX HQ or minimal hybrid/remote)
- CSX provides optional intern housing for the duration of the 10-week program, as long as the selected intern meets eligibility criteria

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
- Learn CSX Transportation Network Operations
- Field Study - Site visits to include observing clearance survey and yard operations
- Update and create dashboards/data analysis in Power BI and Salesforce
- Process data to make dimensional clearance analysis process improvements
- Assist in technology refresh for current business practices
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Business, Logistics, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Bachelor's degree in progress through an accredited institution or related major field of study
- Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4-point scale)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Major or Concentration in Logistics, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related major field of study
- Anticipated graduation within a year after the end of the internship
- Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4-point scale)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences

- Written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, PowerBi); Strong Microsoft Excel ability

Job Requirements:
- Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non- standard workweek)
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Wear protective equipment such as hard hat, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, safety vest, and safety glasses
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences
- Work within established deadlines
- Willing and able to work different shifts as assigned in a 24/7 operation (including weekends and holidays)
- Successfully complete a background check and drug test
