Los Angeles, CA (Acetylene) - Acetylene production & filling How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Job Summary: The Plant Manager oversees all aspects of operations at the Los Angeles Acetylene facility. This includes managing staff, ensuring product quality and safety, maintaining equipment and infrastructure, controlling costs, and meeting customer demand in accordance with agreed schedules and performance standards. The Plant Manager may also be responsible for implementing process improvements and new technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Annual Salary: $80,000-$90,000 DOE
  • Manage daily operations of production facility.
  • Oversee staffing levels and hiring decisions to ensure adequate coverage and expertise across different areas of the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations to protect employees, customers, and the surrounding community.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee consistent product quality and prevent defects or contamination.
  • Maintain and upgrade equipment and infrastructure to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime due to maintenance or repairs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering processes to balance stock availability with customer demand while avoiding excessive holding costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and reduce waste within the facility.
  • Collaborate with other members of management on cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving overall business performance.
  • Implement HSE program in the facility that is compliant with subsidiary standards and ensure the facility is operated in a safe, reliable and efficient manner, preserving the environments.
  • Prepare, analyze and issue periodic production, process optimization and performance reports. Define the production responsibilities at facility and defining each subordinate's specific responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all applicable subsidiary IMS requirements are implemented at facility implement the training and qualification processes and MOC procedure is applied. Run self -audits to ensure compliance with IMS and participate in the subsidiary's audit sessions.
  • Ensure that operating manuals and facility SOPs are established according to the IMS program of the subsidiary. Appoint the writers and approvers of the facility SOP and ensure that plant documentation including Operating Manuals and SOPs are maintained up to date and are readily available to users.
  • Implement QMS ISO9001 and EMS ISO14001 program in the facility that is compliant with system requirement and ensure sustainable in a safe, reliable and efficient manner, preserving the environments. Work with SIO organization after transformation.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in manufacturing or production management considered.
* At least five years of experience managing industrial operations, preferably in the air and gases industry.
* Proven ability to improve operational efficiency through lean manufacturing techniques or similar methodologies.
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop personnel, provide constructive feedback, and address conflicts effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as active listening abilities to understand complex issues and convey them clearly to others.
* Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements governing occupational health and safety, hazardous materials handling, and environmental protection.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and other standard office tools.
* Willingness to travel between multiple locations, as needed.
