*Patient Care Coordinator* Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote (U.S. Based) Experience Level: Intermediate *About the Role* We're seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented *Patient Care Coordinator* to join our team and serve as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and program stakeholders. In this remote role, you'll advocate for patients, support access to prescribed therapies, and help remove non-clinical barriers to care. You'll be the go-to expert on reimbursement, affordability programs, and patient assistance, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and providers. *Key Responsibilities* * Act as a *regional expert* on reimbursement, co-pay, foundation assistance, and patient assistance programs (PAP). * Serve as an *advocate* for patients regarding program enrollment, affordability support, and access to prescribed therapies. * Build and maintain strong relationships with *healthcare providers*, offering ongoing support and program guidance. * Partner with prescribers and patients to *eliminate non-clinical barriers* to therapy access. * Understand and navigate *major payer types*, including private/commercial and government (Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DOD). * Maintain accurate records in compliance with *program standards and regulations*. * Escalate complex cases appropriately and follow program guidelines. * Collaborate with *Program Management, Franchise Managers, and Clients* to share insights and feedback. * Provide *exceptional customer service* while serving as a brand advocate. * Educate patients and providers to improve outcomes through *advocacy and communication*. * Uphold *confidentiality and ethical standards* in all interactions. *Required Skills & Qualifications* * *1-3+ years of experience* in the healthcare industry. * Strong background in *customer service, call center operations, and patient access*. * Familiarity with *insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical claims*. * Knowledge of *Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer systems*. * *Medical terminology* proficiency. * *Bilingual* candidates strongly preferred. * Experience with *inbound and outbound calls* in a fast-paced environment. * *Computer savvy* with strong organizational and time management skills. * Professional, dependable, and adaptable with a *positive, can-do attitude*. *Preferred Experience* * Prior experience in *care coordination*, *pharmacy benefits*, or *case management*. * Experience working directly with *patients and providers* in a healthcare setting. *Why Join Us?* * Make a meaningful impact by helping patients access life-changing therapies. * Be part of a team that values *empathy, professionalism, and continuous learning*. * Work remotely with flexible support and growth opportunities. *Apply now* and become a trusted advocate for patients and providers across the country. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
