What you'll do:



  • Operate trash compactor (Dispose of all non-Recyclable trash)
  • Operate balers (Bale all Cardboard, Textile With and Without Foam, Covers, Plastic and Paper)
  • Removal of zippers from all Scrap Covers
  • Breakdown and recycle all Glue Totes
  • Consolidate unused glue for disposal through chemical waste program.
  • Load all commodity trailers(Including Kraft Paper and Empty IBC totes)
  • Maintain housekeeping in recycle room and surrounding areas, including Docks and Pallet Yard
  • Remove and replace of all waste glue drums from KSM Lines.
  • Count and log scrap mattress/pillow boxes/slip sheets from production and submit to supervisor.
  • Ensure recycled materials are packaged per vendor spec/requirements.
  • Inspect and document material going to trash compactor to ensure compliance with TPVA requirements.
  • Document material (including weights) for record keeping and submit to supervisor.
  • Report issues with waste or recycled material to your supervisor.

Requirements:



  • Material handling experience a plus.
  • Ability to lift over 25 lbs., with no limited range of motion
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for extended periods; to sit and talk or hear; repetitively use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee is routinely required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
