Job Overview
The Senior Merchandising Planning Manager leads the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of merchandising initiatives across retail channels to optimize customer and frontline experiences. As the operational engine of merchandising, this role blends business expertise, disciplined program management, and executional excellence to deliver impactful results.
Acting as both a business subject matter expert (SME) and end-to-end program manager, this person partners across the enterprise to align on objectives, define KPIs, and ensure solutions are delivered on time and on strategy. They work closely with production teams, creative partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to build clear paths to execution, while continuously evolving tools and processes to drive efficiency and operational excellence. The role requires strong analytical and planning skills, the ability to translate complex inputs into structured action, and the confidence to influence senior leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drives the end-to-end planning and execution of merchandising programs by creating and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources. Ensures all milestones are achieved pre-launch, provide support through launch, and manage follow-up actions post-launch, while serving as the SME for supported categories and business areas.
- Orchestrate integrated teams across marketing, creative, production, vendors, and OEM partners to deliver programs on time, on scope, and on strategy. Build strong partnerships, provide clear documentation and milestone tracking, and deliver executive-ready updates and recommendations to align stakeholders, guide decisions, and ensure operational excellence.
- Leads status meetings to track progress, document key milestones, approvals, decisions, and risks, and ensure accountability by assigning responsibilities and enforcing deadlines.
- Develops and maintains forward looking roadmap for merchandising initiatives with an eye towards long term objectives. Ensure strategic support for long term / near term business driving initiatives as well as quick turn requests.
- Manages the creation and ongoing improvement of business process mapping and documentation leveraging systems, tools, and emerging AI capabilities to streamline workflows, drive efficiency, and enable consistent, scalable execution across teams.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Business or Marketing (Required)
- 4-7 years In Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Product Management, or related field Required
- 2-4 years In a technology focused marketing, merchandising or product development space preferred. Required
- 2-4 years Analytical experience preferred. Preferred

Base Pay Range: $79,300 - $142,900
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
