This is a benefited, part time position generally working 7:30am-4pm three days per week with alternating weekends. Shift times may vary based on need. Located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion on the Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla campus.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
  • Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
  • Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
  • Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
  • Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

This position is eligible for up to $2k in New Hire Retention Incentives.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

  • Internal candidates
  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
  • Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • ADN or Nursing Diploma
  • CA RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • American Heart Association ACLS
  • Proficient in IV starts

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • BSN
  • 2-3+ years RN experience
  • Cardiac and/or telemetry experience as an RN
