Responsible for performing & maintaining the quality assurance processes for all registration, admissions and PBX personnel across the organization. Performs audits to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Processes error disputes within quality assurance system, providing timely feedback to staff.
  2. Performs account review for account financial resolution opportunities and performance opportunities.
  3. Observes areas for operational flow opportunities.
  4. Reviews patient satisfaction data and detail patient comments for feedback and QA application.
  5. Performs compliance process audits, such as Important Message from Medicare, Medicaid plan application, Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire, Annual required signatures on file, etc.
  6. Audits HPF and HBF queues, as appropriate.
  7. Performs audits of other nature, as assigned.
  8. Reassigns scanned images, as needed.
  9. Attends training team meetings.
  10. Evaluates/Completes weekly quality report. Analyzes trends in data, makes recommendations for training needs.
  11. Performs duties of Patient Access Representative, Room Control Representative and PBX Operator.

REQUIRED:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Healthcare Management or related field

OR

High School diploma or equivalent PLUS three (3) years registration experience experience

Functional knowledge of ADT and related systems

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical, problem solving, trouble shooting skills

Skilled in the use and application of Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management or related field

Knowledge of Federal and State regulations

Knowledge of JCAHO requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of insurance verification, precert, billing and collection procedures

CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) or CPAR (Certified Patient Account Representative)
