Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1yr Busser/Food Runner experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand the English language
- Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighing 35+ pounds
- Ability to safely move and set up banquet tables, chairs and equipment
- Ability to stand, stoop and bend repetitively during entire shift
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
Job Specific
- Will be Scheduled according to business needs at any of the following properties: Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel
- Provide support to the Banquet Bartenders and or the Banquet servers in all aspects of service for the Area Banquet Department
- Read Banquet Event Orders and ensure supplies and equipment have been provided by the Stewarding Department for events.
- Prepare coffee, tea, decaffeinated coffee, iced tea, lemonade, sodas and appropriate stations to expedite these beverages with prepared glasses with sliced lemons
- Prepare all Banquet Bar kits including Beer, Wine, Spirits, Handcrafted cocktails, ice, mixers and glassware that has been assigned according to the Banquet Event Order
- Sets up Food & Beverage stations to expedite and facilitate service for Banquet Bars and Beverage for events. Needed station items will be based on Banquet Event Order requests and may include setting up milk, creamer, sugar, citrus (lemon, lime, oranges).
- Prepare tables to be used for beverage and expediting stations
- Replenish food items for buffets and action stations as needed
- Assists with expediting food from hot boxes and placing on trays for Banquet servers to serve guests
- May assist Banquet Server or Banquet Bartender with the removal of soiled glasses and/or plates during events or as needed
- Maintains back isle area by replenishing items, organizing and sanitizing area during events
- Daily cleaning of hot/cold beverage equipment and prepares for next event, including brewing and ice tea equipment
- Assist in the breakdown of Banquet Buffets, Food station and Banquet Bars
- Cleans according to closing assignments, to include returning equipment to the stewarding area, sweeping and mopping all service aisles
- Maintains cleanliness and stock of all refrigeration units
- May be required to work varying schedules that reflect business needs of all Area Hotels (Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel)
