Our innovative and growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of talent development manager. This is position reports within the Human Resources organization. This role is responsible for partnering with the Chief People Officer and business leaders to build a company-wide talent management strategy for Hanson. This role will create the vision and purpose, processes, tools to align with corporate strategies and business goals with a focus on performance management, talent assessment, pipeline & talent development, coaching, and succession planning. This position plays a key role in driving performance of internal talent, ensuring that the organization has a strong performance culture and is prepared with a talent and leadership pipeline required to achieve Hanson's business objectives. Responsibilities:
- Partners with HR leadership to develop a comprehensive talent management strategy, roadmap, and operational plan to ensure talent capabilities are in place to enable business growth.
- Builds a portfolio of best-in-class solutions to drive staff, project management, and leadership development professional growth using various tools and in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Oversees pipeline development programs to include Grow Our Own Program, Shadow Hanson, and our nationally recognized intern program consisting of career fairs, college partnerships, intern experience, and conversion to offer.
- Executes a best-in-class on-boarding strategy for new employees, and creates an on-boarding playbook for key positions, and management transitions.
- Accelerate the diversity and inclusion strategy through employee and leadership development offerings and solutions.
- Evaluate performance management philosophy to align with business model.
- Design, develop, and implement a career portfolio framework.
- Design the organizational talent review process to identify and retain top talent, facilitate movement and development of talent.
- Partners with Practice Leads and the PMO (Project Management Office) to create a framework for technical and project management training.
- Evaluate & oversee employee engagement survey process, recommendations, and action steps.
- Develops a framework for change management initiatives.
- Partner with Chief People Officer on the design and roll out of the leadership offsite.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to managers and leaders to maximize individual development and growth.
- Create a knowledge transfer framework to better facilitate career and employee life cycle transitions.
- Develop a talent dashboard with key metrics to measure success of programs.
- Conduct individual leadership, career, and talent assessments using a variety of tools (360, Hogan)
- Enables the creation and understanding of key talent pools (hi potentials, diverse, critical role successors): actively monitors engagement and development and drives internal movement using succession and development plans as a guide.
- Leverages Workday platform to manage talent management initiatives to include, performance management, skills, and competencies, and succession planning.
Qualifications:
- Position requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR and a minimum of 5 years in a training/development leadership role. Master's degree or advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational psychology preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written, oral and positive influential interpersonal skills required; ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms
- Ability to effectively demonstrate capabilities as a leadership coach, performance consultant and talent leader
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into organization development plans
- Solid knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be an independent thinker, possess strong organization skills, strong customer focus and orientation
- Candidate must be willing to travel to other Hanson office locations
- Experience working with HRIS system (Workday)
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and policies
- Exposure to HR legal requirements
- Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000
