We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Technical Analyst to support IT/OT systems at our Roseville, MN site. The analyst will serve as a key liaison between IT and Ferring Microbiome business teams, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

This role also contributes to business relationship management, strategic planning, portfolio/demand management, and roadmap development. It is instrumental in facilitating business engagement, decision-making, and readiness for change.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise and Local Application Support

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support forenterprise and locally hosted applications, including troubleshooting, patching, and performance optimization, ensuring uptime, performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, implement enhancements, and support validation and documentation efforts.
  • Ensure application changes follow appropriatechange controlandcomplianceprocedures (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).

QC and R&D Instrument Integration

  • Integrate laboratory instruments with LIMS and other data systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain instrument connectivity and data flow.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to validate and qualify instrument interfaces.

Local IT Infrastructure & Support

  • Assist Global I&S with design, implementation, and maintenance of local IT infrastructure including servers, network devices, storage systems, and lab-specific systems.
  • SupportWindows and Linux server administration, including patching, monitoring, and backup management.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams to align local infrastructure with enterprise standards and security policies.

Change Management & Compliance

  • Participate in change control processes, including documentation, validation, and impact assessments.
  • Ensure all changes comply with internal SOPs and external regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, GxP).
  • Support audits and inspections by providing technical documentation and system evidence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems analysis or application development.
  • Strong technical expertise in networking, virtualization, cloud computing, and storage systems.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, React, MSSQL, R, and Python
  • Experience with Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory and IIS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with change control, validation, and compliance documentation in a GxP environment.
  • Experience with LIMS, ELN and other laboratory software
  • Experience with research computing, big data, and biological data
  • Experience with system or instrument integration and automation.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, CompTIA, Cisco).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $117,000 to $130,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees, a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees to accrue up to 120 hours in the first four (4) years of employment, and 160 hours in the fifth (5th) year of employment as well as 15 paid holidays per year.
