Job Opportunity: Low Voltage Technician - Nurse Call Projects (Metro Des Moines Area)
Three upcoming Nurse Call system installations across the Metro Des Moines area and is seeking experienced low voltage technicians to join the team on a temporary basis. Ideal candidates will have prior experience with Nurse Call systems and/or CAT 5/6 terminations in a hospital environment. The primary responsibilities will involve terminating and installing devices, with minimal cable pulling required. We're looking for team members who are not only technically skilled but also understand the importance of working professionally in healthcare settings and collaborating effectively with others Minimum Qualifications: * At least one safety-related certification * At least one manufacturing certification * At least one industry certification (e.g., NICET Level 1, Rauland, Lenel, Genetec) * Candidates may obtain required certifications and complete internal training within the first year of employment if not already met Key Skills: * Nurse Call systems * CAT 5 and CAT 6 terminations Core Responsibilities: * Participate in project and inspection kick-off meetings to review plans, safety protocols, and responsibilities * Execute daily tasks including: * Cable pathway construction * Device terminations * System testing * Monitoring life safety systems during inspections * Documenting and communicating test results * Using checklists to ensure all scheduled devices are tested * Maintain a clean and organized work environment * Arrive on time and stay self-motivated and productive * Collaborate as a supportive team member, actively learning and contributing * Travel up to 25% may be required * Support service ticket completion Experience Level: Intermediate *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
