Job Summary The Route Supervisor creates and maintains routes for drivers to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service to all customers through utilization of routing system. - Supervises, creates, assigns and organizes driver routes ensuring route efficiency based on stops and route costs.
- Manages and reviews daily and weekly reports.
- Conducts accident investigations and reports findings to upper management.
- Monitors driver hours and performance to maintain compliance with DOT regulations.
- Responsible for completing driver evaluations.
- Maintain current customer accounts through personal, telephone and email contact ensuring quality service to each customer in coordination with Customer Engagement Center.
- Must be available to provide communications with customers and/or Customer Engagement Center during regular business hours as well as after hours and weekends.
- Supervise tank maintenance drivers.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must pass DOT physical and maintain medical card.
- Must pass drug and alcohol screenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of routing system experience such as Roadnet, Peoplenet, and Oracle.
- Works well with others in a team environment.
- Communicates clearly in verbal and written form.
- Highly organized; superior time management skills.
- Good math and computer skills.
- Bachelor's degree in related field or 3-5 years logistics experience.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
- Occasionally must push, pull, move or lift up to 50lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
