This position is responsible for the implementation of major programs to include: predictive maintenance program, water treatment program, transformer reliability program, incident investigation program, training program, and other similar major programs. Managers includes day to day management of the program, and recommendations to Calpine Management and Calpine Engineering of critical items that are being monitored. Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. The programs managed by the Program Manager are to provide consistent implementation of the program throughout Calpine's Fleet, improving operational reliability and efficiency. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules develops solutions to program problems and ensures programs are consistently delivered and maintained. Provides technical guidance to other departments within Calpine. Provide technical leadership to both internal and external organizations and entities. Specialized Job Information
- Focus on reducing the effects of corrosion in the steam gathering system. Work is split between field and office work. Specific areas for this group include:
- Evaluate methods to reduce both short term and long term effects of corrosion in steam and condensate pipelines
- Improve existing processes, develop new processes, and modify equipment design to reduce corrosion
- Manage projects to enhance corrosion monitoring
- Evaluate budgetary necessity and prioritizes budgetary spending
- Develop annual budget to improve safety and reliability
- Monitor spending and communicate required scope changes to meet budget constraints
- Coordinate with steamfield engineers to modernize and standardize equipment
- Coordinate with internal and external technical experts to evaluate and implement advancements to steamfield technology
- Provide technical guidance in the development of guidelines, procedures, and contracts.
- Monitor processes for corrosion risk

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in engineering and or chemical field of study
- In-depth experience across knowledge areas and multiple functions including project management; typically requires 10+ years in area of specialization.
- Working knowledge of a wide variety of project management tools, processes and methods.
Preferred Qualifications include
- Industrial/Field experience
- Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with corrosion experience
- Pipeline experience
- Familiarity with ASME Power Piping Code B31.1
- Familiarity with steam pipeline corrosion mitigation
- Familiarity with FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, HAZOP, and MOC
Salary Information
- Salary Range - $133,696.00 - $170,462.00
