Hospital Facilities Manager What this job involves:

As a Hospital Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll lead comprehensive facility management operations that are critical to healthcare delivery and patient safety. This strategic leadership role requires you to establish, operate, and maintain facility management programs that ensure seamless building operations, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient care environments. Your expertise directly contributes to shaping a brighter way by ensuring healthcare facilities operate at peak performance while maintaining the highest safety and regulatory standards.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Oversee Environment of Care, Emergency Management, and Life Safety Code compliance while fulfilling Safety Officer responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to operations staff, expanding their capabilities through hands-on instruction in maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Direct contracted maintenance performance while demonstrating proper tool usage and instilling high levels of professionalism across teams
  • Manage financial planning and forecasting for operations and maintenance budgets while recommending and estimating facility repairs and improvements
  • Implement and monitor energy management programs to achieve 2% reduction in energy and water consumption while tracking performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous materials policies and audit standards for safe storage, usage, and disposal procedures
  • Coordinate life cycle asset maintenance programs to ensure all critical equipment vendor preventive maintenance is completed on schedule
Required qualifications:
  • College degree in related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program completion, or technical trade school certification
  • Minimum 5 years of hospital facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience
  • Proven managerial experience with demonstrated budget and personnel management responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care standards and healthcare regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including technical report writing capabilities
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and CMMS systems (360 Facility, Maximo, etc.)
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) such as Siemens Apogee, Johnson Metasys, or Trane Tracer
Preferred qualifications:
  • CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager), CPMM (Certified Plant Maintenance Manager), or CFM (Certified Facility Manager) certification
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering
  • Experience implementing portfolio-wide compliance initiatives and regulatory compliance programs
  • Background in hazardous materials management and environmental safety protocols
  • Demonstrated success in energy management and sustainability program implementation

Estimated compensation for this position:

96,000.00 - 96,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
