Payroll and Accounting Assistant


McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Payroll and Accounting Assistant to join the team in the Boise, ID office. The Payroll and Accounting Assistant will provide administrative and accounting support to ensure accurate and timely payroll and finance processes. This role involves collecting and verifying employee timecards, assisting with data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.


Responsibilities:



  • Collect, review, and verify employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing and processing payroll under the supervision of the payroll specialist or payroll manager.
  • Support accounts payable functions by coding and entering invoices.
  • Maintain accurate employee and project records in payroll and billing systems.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and timesheets.
  • Assist with reconciliations and reporting as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of payroll and billing processes a plus but not required (training provided).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and preferred familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.


Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: $20-$30 hr. (DOE)
