Phillips-Medisize is seeking a Strategic Account Manager supporting large sustaining customers from multiple Phillips-Medisize Facilities. This individual will work with a cross functional team including operations, supply chain and engineering and be responsible for the customer relationship.

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) serves as the primary point of contact and leader for commercial relationships. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage the customer account, forecast demand, drive growth, and operational excellence, with a specific focus on our largest Medtech customer.

This role requires a strategic leader with strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills, adept at working cross-functionally to meet customer needs and drive both short- and long-term business success. The SAM must be proactive in forecasting, contract management, pricing strategy, and continuous improvement to our largest strategic All-In account and contribute to the overall growth and operational excellence of Phillips-Medisize.

What You Will Do

  • Function as the point of contact for key Medtech customers for Phillips-Medisize, providing leadership on the commercial relationship.
  • Assist in the strategic development of existing customer accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining and building relationships within the customer's organization
  • Responsible for customer surveys and / or customer feedback mechanisms.
  • Provide quarterly strategic business reviews.
  • Responsible for ensuring contracts are invoked and maintained as programs progress with the support of the relevant Program Managers and Business Unit Manager
  • Responsible for negotiating and putting in place legal agreements.
  • Lead regular customer engagement and channel critical inputs including forecasting, demand, risks, issues and any other relevant inputs.
  • Manage pricing and project process
  • Participate in business development issues such as supply agreements, long-term agreements, cost reduction requests, cost sharing requests, pricing negotiations, account reviews, etc.
  • Identify and channel any new opportunities through appropriate structure
  • Promote capabilities and support other account management resources

Specific Responsibilities Related to Customer

  • Lead and promote internal commercial excellence.
  • Drive the 5-year forecast analysis and maintenance, coordinating with the Global Account Director.
  • Engage with customer business partners to understand capacity and delivery for the current and next fiscal years.
  • Lead all forecast calls with customers' planning teams, optimizing supply chain arrangements and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Manage End of Life (EOL) notifications for product obsolescence with the customer.
  • Participate in procurement reviews to identify and execute supplier strategies that reduce costs, optimize contracts, secure supply, and foster vendor partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Pricing Manager, Medtech Finance, and Global Account Director to establish and refine a 5-year price strategy.
  • Participate in ongoing long-term pricing negotiations.
  • Provide input on priority setting and rollout of Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) to Operations leadership.
  • Lead resolution of quality issues involving suppliers and internal parties.
  • Work with Operations to gather machinery idle time and operational metrics in preparation for quarterly executive reviews.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to Customer Service processes to enhance global efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) calls to maintain a holistic portfolio view.
  • Travel actively to key sites for customer visits, business reviews, and negotiations as appropriate.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Three (3) years of customer account management experience.
  • Experience in managing and navigating complex customer relationships, including difficult conversations.
  • Experience working with executive leadership on strategy implementation.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and executing customer account plans including contract/pricing negotiations and forecasting.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of product development, contract manufacturing processes, and associated systems.
  • Experience with Medical Device or cable assembly contract manufacturing.

For this role, we anticipate paying $105,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
