Maintenance Lead Tech-1st Shift

Summary:

The Maintenance Lead Technician will help the Maintenance Supervisor lead a team of maintenance technicians, who are changing from reactionary to a preventative maintenance system, to reduce unscheduled downtime. The Maintenance Lead Technician will be the technical expert, for all processes, for the assigned shift. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work diligently and show strong technical and communication skills.

You will be based in Anderson, SC location. The shift will work Monday-Friday starting at 5:00 am to 2:00pm.

Your main tasks:

  • Provide technical leadership to all Technicians, across all departments
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the daily coordination of the Maintenance technicians, and will be the Delegation of Authority (DOA) when the Supervisor is away
  • Ensure immediate maintenance intervention to solve any maintenance issues in the relevant field and follow actions necessary.
  • Hands on verification that daily preventive maintenance activities are performed correctly
  • Support all lean (EMS/EPS) plan and activities affecting the relevant maintenance area.
  • Support the facility management for the relevant area
  • Provide daily shift activities, issues and resolution, emerging issues and concerns reporting.
  • Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with operations, planners and engineering to maximize efficient productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules and standards and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Maintain continual efforts consistent with minimizing scrap, rework, and controlling costs of expendables and products.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years' experience in maintenance role
  • Proficiency in Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Internals must have less than 4 attendance points
  • Internals must have no written disciplinary action in the past 6 months

Physical Demands:

  • This position is very active and requires frequent (4 to 12 hours) standing, walking (on concrete surfaces), bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, squatting, crawling, twisting, climbing, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead, (Or otherwise awkward positions necessary to fix equipment).
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedly.
  • Ability to work in unusual or extreme elements; such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Ability to work safely from a ladder.
  • Ability to operate a scissor lift, boom, and bucket lift and work at heights of up to 30 feet.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work will require very fine dexterity, tactile sensitivity and extreme muscular control of the hands.
