Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments in alignment with company policies and vendor terms. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Accounts Payable Clerk will also support accounting and special projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accurately process 3-way P.O. matching invoices
  • Monitor and enter invoices within vendor payment terms
  • Ensure unvouchered goods receipts remain within 30 days of the current date
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies by collaborating with appropriate departments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address vendor inquiries
  • Assist with accounting tasks and special projects as assigned


Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform all assigned duties accurately and on time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established business practices
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and D365
  • Proficiency with Karmak; knowledge of PeopleSoft financial software strongly preferred


Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in accounting or finance preferred


Work Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related accounts payable or accounting experience
