Job Summary The Buyer I is responsible for procuring goods and services that support organizational operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors, adherence to company policies, and the ability to negotiate favorable terms to achieve organizational goals. Job Responsibilities Review purchase requisitions and determine appropriate procurement methods. Identify potential suppliers and solicit bids or quotations for goods and services. Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure best value. Prepare accurate purchase orders and contracts in compliance with company policies. Monitor and track order status, expediting deliveries to meet operational timelines. Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quality, or delivery issues. Maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct supplier performance evaluations. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role. Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail with accuracy in documentation and data entry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Familiarity with contract management principles. Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory management. Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM).
