JOB SUMMARY: The Loader Operator is responsible for operating front-end loaders to assist in all aspects of quarry operations. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Perform daily equipment checks Be aware of daily planned quarry activities - grout removal, loaf tipping, block loading, etc. Awareness of activity of immediate work area by either employees or visitors Know equipment operating limits with various attachments Be constantly aware of working surface conditions - mud, ice, and dust Knowledgeable in standard loader hand signals Excellent communication skills (visual, radio) - between supervisor, crew, and OTR drivers Maintain quarry roads, ramps, and grout pile surfaces, in compliance with regulatory berm height Understand all equipment operator manuals WORKING CONDITIONS, SKILLS &, KNOWLEDGE This position spends 100% of the time outdoors. Quarry conditions can very from extreme summer heat to below zero cold, wind, and rain.
