Position Summary

The UNM Office for Community Health is seeking a program planning manager to support the development of a new community resource project that will support Community Health Worker (CHW) Medicaid Billing and Reimbursement among community agencies new to Medicaid Reimbursement for the work of CHWs.

This position will collaborate with OCH teams, stakeholders, state agencies, and community partners to develop toolkits, establish workflows and systems, and oversee data collection and reporting. The project will provide training and technical support to ensure successful billing, coding, and reimbursement. The goal of this project is to support community agencies in creating an internal infrastructure to bill Medicaid for CHW work and generate sustainable revenue. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated experience with Medicaid processes, billing, and infrastructure, community based organization/non-profit systems, professional oral and written communication skills, and a passion for community health.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and CMS policies, procedures, and administration.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheets and principals of organization.
  • Excellent time management.
