Internal Medicine Pharmacist Provide broad-spectrum care across general medicine units Manage therapies for heart failure, COPD, renal disease, and infections Diverse patient population and strong teaching/research opportunities ________________________________________ What You'll Do Deliver direct patient care through medication management Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and clinical decision-making Educate patients and providers on pharmacotherapy Contribute to quality improvement and protocol development ________________________________________ Ready to make a difference? In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required. Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas. Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly.
