Job Title: SVP & BSA Manager Department: BSA (Hybrid - HQ Office & Remote)

We are looking for a SVP & BSA Manager to join our BSA team. The BSA Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the BSA staff and for assuring that the Bank is in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and all other applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep Board of Directors and Senior Management informed on new BSA requirements, presents reports on BSA Activities timely, and monitor training as required by the BSA Policy and Program.
  • Function as the subject matter expert for BSA/AML & OFAC compliance.
  • Review and update policies and procedures associated with BSA/AML/OFAC, and related operating processes and improvements across all of departments, as required by updates in the laws and changes in the Bank procedures.
  • Drive the implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to prevent the Bank from being used for money laundering or terrorist financing and ensure the compliance with OFAC sanctions.
  • Ensure various corporate BAM software, OFAC screening software, and the OFAC database are functioning as intended.
  • Ensure the existence of a comprehensive, effective, and efficient BSA/AML & OFAC compliance program and oversee its functioning on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain infrastructure to support OFAC sanctions and other regulatory control lists by providing guidance in decision making process.
  • Coordinate and administer employee BSA training and monitor its effectiveness. Provide oversight and guidance for training requirements to meet regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all BSA-related reporting and filing is completed timely and accurately.
  • Oversee the dissemination of BSA/AML/OFAC and related laws through the Bank.
  • Coordinate and respond to the Bank's annual internal BSA audit and the Safety and Soundness Exam for the BSA portion.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in banking or financial industry and three in a management position required.
  • Direct experience with regulators, auditors, and other consultants in the industry.
  • Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in banking functions.
  • Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform complex financial calculations.
  • Detailed knowledge of BSA and OFAC regulations, and related laws and documentation.
  • Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental and external representatives.
  • CAMS Certification is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior.
  • Organizational ability with strong supervisory and management skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, employees, regulators, or board members.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, problem prevention, and problem-solving skills.
