Post Doctoral Associate in Sustainable Systems at SuRGE (Sustainability & Resilience in Global Environments) Lab Georgetown University: Main Campus: Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Location: Main Campus Open Date: Sep 30, 2025 Deadline: Description The SuRGE (Sustainability and Resilience in Global Environments) lab at Georgetown University is seeking a candidate with a strong background in data science, systems modeling, risk science, network science, industrial ecology, or related fields, with a broad focus on sustainability and resilience. The ideal candidate combines proficiency in quantitative methods with a critical mindset-someone who engages deeply with the assumptions behind research questions and is comfortable navigating diverse epistemological frameworks. We're looking for someone who is not only skilled in applying analytical tools, but also curious and reflective-willing to challenge foundational assumptions, explore literature beyond their discipline, and contribute to both conceptual thinking and practical solutions. This position offers a balance of collaborative and independent research, with additional opportunities for curriculum development and teaching. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute across research, education, and the broader academic community. Qualifications
