The Technical Accounting Senior serves as a technical accounting specialist, supporting the organization's compliance with accounting standards and contributing expertise that protects the company from audit findings and regulatory penalties. This individual contributor role focuses on developing expertise in centralized corporate functions and technical accounting matters while supporting senior team members in complex initiatives. What you'll be doingTechnical Accounting Support & Development * Support technical accounting areas including cash management, fixed assets, lease accounting (ASC 842), employee benefits, and tax liability accounting under senior guidance * Assist in research and implementation of new accounting pronouncements and standards * Help maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and company standards * Provide technical accounting guidance to R2R teams and business units for routine matters * Monitor regulatory developments and assist in assessing impact on company practices * Primary point of contact for technical accounting and centralized functions. Corporate Functions & Intercompany Support * Support accounting for centralized corporate functions including treasury operations, fixed asset management, and benefit plan accounting * Assist with intercompany agreement reviews and transaction processing * Perform intercompany reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies * Support analysis of corporate costs and their allocation across business units * Contribute to transfer pricing documentation under supervision Financial Reporting & Process Support * Assist in preparation and review of financial data and reporting templates for HQ submission * Support preparation of technical accounting memos and position papers * Help coordinate with international teams on accounting policy implementation * Support consolidation processes for technical accounting areas * Support Finance Accounting teams and FP&A with understanding of technical processes and their impact in the financials Audit & Compliance Assistance * Support internal and external audit processes for technical accounting matters * Assist in preparing audit documentation and responding to auditor inquiries * Help ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) * Support regulatory examinations under senior guidance Process Development & Learning * Work with offshore R2R team on technical accounting procedures and close processes * Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation projects * Collaborate with Global Shared Services on technical accounting process optimization * Develop technical accounting expertise through mentoring and training opportunities About youEducation & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred * Minimum 4 years of accounting experience with some technical accounting exposure * Public accounting experience preferred * Experience with financial reporting and basic technical accounting research Technical Skills * Solid understanding of US GAAP and FASB ASC * Familiarity with technical accounting areas such as lease accounting or revenue recognition * Good technical writing skills and ability to prepare clear documentation * Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel * Experience with technical accounting research tools preferred Core Competencies * Technical Foundation: Solid technical accounting knowledge with desire to develop deeper expertise * Research Skills: Ability to research technical accounting matters and apply guidance appropriately * Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy * Learning Agility: Eagerness to develop expertise in complex technical accounting areas * Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills for technical matters * Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with teams and offshore resources * Professional Growth: Commitment to developing technical expertise and professional certifications Why choose us?It's an exciting time to be part of our team.
