(Hybrid) Temporary, Part-Time Success Coach - Center for Learning, Advising, and Student Success

Description

The REACH Student Success Office is seeking applications for the position of Student Success Coach. This role involves providing personalized academic support to current WVU students, focusing on essential skills for collegiate success.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with current WVU students to provide academic support aimed at fostering a students' academic growth.
  • Educate undergraduate students about skills needed for success by utilizing positive coaching strategies.
  • Effectively assist students in developing study skills and academic success strategies related to time management, note taking skills, test prep, etc.
  • Assist students in applying their Clifton Strengths to their academic skills.
  • Facilitate group workshops focused on a holistic approach to academic success.
  • Engage undergraduate students in active, collaborative learning experiences.
  • Review responses to the Brite App on a weekly basis and connect with students who have been identified as needing more assistance.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree
  • Two (2) years of related experience
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education and/or working with young adults is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Works well in a team-oriented setting

  • Ability to work under limited supervision (flexible, dependable and responsible)

  • Proficient in using CRM products such as Navigate.

  • Ability to send out appointment campaigns and summarize notes using the CRM.
