Credence has an immediate need for an Electronics Maintenance Journeyman to provide technical support and electronics maintenance for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Integrated Ship Control Training System (ISCTS) associated with the 225 foot Seagoing Buoy Tender (WLB) and the 175 foot Coastal Buoy Tender (WLM) classroom laboratories located C5ISC Portsmouth, VA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below Responsible for corrective, depot-level, and preventative maintenance actions in support of the USCG WLB and WLB ISCTS training simulators within a classroom/simulation lab environment. Performs setup procedures, operational checks, system monitoring, and troubleshooting/repair activities as needed. Implements and executes a Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) and related maintenance procedures. Performs ISCTS navigation system installations and upgrades to include hardware, firmware, and software. Enters and maintains an inventory of classroom/simulator electronics and maintenance related parts. Utilizes Microsoft Office suite of applications to draft reports, emails, and possesses a thorough knowledge of performing independent research. Technical knowledge of shipboard control systems such as Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring Systems (MPCMS), Dynamic Positioning Systems (DPS), and/or Track Controller/Autopilot systems is desired but not required. Education, Requirements and Qualifications
Associate Degree in Engineering (electronics, electrical, or system), or Electronics Maintenance, or completion of USCG or completion fo a DOD/DHS Technical School. Comprehensive knowledge of DOD military specifications and standards. At least one year of experience working with MPCMS, DPS, ECDIS, and Radar systems, or similar C5ISR systems.
