Job Description General Responsibilities: Conduct ecological and natural resource field surveys such as wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species assessments/surveys, tree inventories, and other ecological studies as necessary. Responsibilities may also include NEPA evaluations, environmental site investigations, assessments and surveys to sample, measure, and analyze a wide variety of environmental factors such as air, water, material, and soil. Identify and evaluate ecological risk factors and recommend risk strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Prepare applicable permit applications, risk assessments and technical documents including proposals, reports and regulatory agency correspondence. This position requires the management of small, medium, and large-scale ecological projects, conducting field work, preparing scientific reports, training more inexperienced staff members, and conducting various business development activities.
