Snowflake is seeking a versatile and results-driven Technical Revenue Manager to join us at our office in Dulin/Menlo Park. This role will be a key member of the Technical Revenue team as Snowflake continues its fast paced growth and innovative product releases.

The ideal candidate will have experience working cross functionally with Deal Desk, Finance, Legal and Order-To-Cash team, managing internal and external auditors, thinking through and documenting significant deal and revenue structures.

AS THE TECHNICAL REVENUE MANAGER YOU WILL:
  • Perform contract review to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance and prepare related revenue schedules for complex transactions to verify revenue contracts have been accurately recorded.

  • Ownership of reconciliations and other processes within the revenue close cycle, build, refine and scale such processes.

  • Research and prepare technical accounting memos to document revenue recognition positions, complex transactions, and support audit requests.

  • Partner with Order-to-Cash cross functional teams to ensure all fully executed agreements are properly processed and accounted for.

  • Partner with sales, finance, and legal to review, structure, and approve complex bundled deals and transactions, ensuring alignment with company strategy, pricing, and compliance.

  • Provide technical review of UAT for NPI and related projects

  • Assist with other special projects as needed; drive projects to successful completion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • 8+ years of revenue accounting and related experience under US GAAP, preferably in the Technology industry.

  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and related revenue pronouncements.

  • Demonstrated experience in researching and preparing technical accounting memos for revenue recognition and other complex transactions

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel

  • Expertise in Financial reporting, Internal Control Design and ownership of Audit relationships.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required

  • CPA or equivalent accounting certification is strongly preferred; big 4 experience is a plus.

  • Experience with SFDC, Workday or other ERP system, and revenue accounting system (e.g., RevPro).

  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; effective multitasking skills are vital.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Adaptable and flexible to change.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $133,000 - $185,800.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
