Global Media Director (Hybrid - New York City)
The Global Media Director is a mission-critical leadership role responsible for unifying and elevating our client's global media strategy to accelerate new client acquisition. This role drives enterprise-wide growth by transforming fragmented, unit-level media buying into a sophisticated, single global discipline focused on generating completed appointments with new pets. A primary and immediate accountability is leading the full transition of our client's $50M+ annual paid media investment to a single, newly-selected global agency partner. This involves consolidating seven incumbent agencies into one global partner and fully integrating planning, buying, and measurement across five distinct operating units and two regions to create a high-performance, demand-driving program.

Integrate Unit Media: Develop and implement a unified, global media strategy and plan across all operating units, aligning objectives, KPIs, and budget allocations to maximize enterprise organic growth.

Platform, Measurement, & Innovation
Advance MarTech & Infrastructure: Partner closely with the Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) and digital/data teams to modernize our client's media platform and technology infrastructure.
Enable Next-Gen Capabilities: Unlock scalable growth by enabling advanced targeting, analytics, attribution, and automation.
Establish Measurement & Optimization: Establish shared performance metrics, reporting dashboards, and robust test-and-learn protocols to track performance, optimize spend, and scale successful pilot programs into investments.

Champion Modern Practices: Act as a change leader by championing the adoption of modern, data-driven media practices across operating units, coaching teams new to sophisticated marketing.
Build Business Cases: Design and execute pilots and apply challenger-control approaches to prove impact and build confidence, securing scaled funding.
Lead the Team: Build and lead a small global media team (approx. 2-3 FTEs over time) and effectively manage the outsourced global agency partner resources, focusing on performance, channel strategy, and innovation.
Stakeholder Alignment: Navigate and manage complex, matrixed relationships with unit client leads, finance, procurement, and the CDIO organization to ensure all media investments support enterprise growth objectives.
