Our team helps organizations attract, retain, and reward top talent through thoughtful pay strategies, data-driven insights, and market-leading practices. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Executive Compensation Consulting team and help drive impactful client solutions. CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions practice provides clients with compensation expertise to ensure compensation programs are competitive, fair, and legally compliant. The Compensation practice is comprised of experts who will work with clients to design, implement, and communicate employee and executive compensation and reward programs that drive organizational success.

Position Summary:
The Project Manager will support and lead client engagements focused on executive compensation. This role will manage project timelines, client deliverables, and internal resources while also contributing to analytical and advisory work. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, a background in compensation or consulting, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  • Manage multiple executive compensation projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and client expectations are met.
  • Partner with consultants and analysts to deliver client-ready reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to organize data analysis, research, and report production.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client communication and project updates.
  • Conduct and oversee analysis related to executive pay benchmarking, incentive plan design, pay-for-performance alignment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare materials for Compensation Committee meetings, executive teams, and Boards of Directors.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and governance updates related to executive pay.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members to ensure professional growth and quality of work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or MBA a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in compensation consulting, executive compensation, or a related HR/finance role.
  • Strong understanding of executive compensation practices, incentive plan design, and market benchmarking methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with compensation survey data and analytical tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to build relationships at multiple organizational levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Over 7 years' experience in area of expertise with increasing complexity
  • At least 5 years' experience supervising and leading staff
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrate industry experience and technical knowledge in area of expertise
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Expert knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulations impacting discipline
  • Expertise in managing clients
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
