Production Operator Filler Strainer in Oakwood, GA

Starting pay: $21.80 plus a $1.00 shift differential

Shifts: Evening (2^nd) 3:00pm - 1:00am Monday - Thursday

Occasional overtime on Fridays

As a Production Operator Filler Strainer, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities

• Retrieving and staging of materials and keep filling line stocked with cans, pails, labels and other packaging materials, including operation of material handling equipment.
• Follows batch slip instructions and verifies that each step of the process has occurred.
• Operating, adjusting and monitoring of filling and packaging machines and equipment.
• Monitor fill weights, check for proper labeling of cans and labeling of cases while visually monitoring.
• Evaluate and take test samples for the lab, including drawdown and color comparisons.
• Will be filling the following containers: quarts, gallons, 2 gallon pails, 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums and 250 gallon totes.
• Work with tubs, tanks, pumps and hoses.
• Clean equipment after each batch and help maintain a clean and neat work area.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally.

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use computer programs, analyze data and participate in CPI projects.
• Ability to bend, reach and lift hoses, manipulate valves, operate/adjust equipment, stack pallets, and carry materials to equipment.
