Specialist - Consumer Loan

  • Position Summary:
    This position will exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidentiality communicate with the member once the credit application has been approved by the Underwriting Team. Gather all preliminary documentation from the member to begin the documentation process. Prepare accurate loan documents for all loan types to included secured, unsecured and credit cards. Ensure all documentation and supporting documentation is accurate before loan procedures are disbursed
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job and the approximate percentage of time spent on each of the activities; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done; include supervision or management responsibilities, quality and quantity standards, physical, mental, and perceptual functions of the job)

    Effectively and efficiently understand, communicate and sell the approved loan decision to the member.

    Proactively communicate with the member via email and or phone to explain the loan process.

    Obtain all necessary documentation and required stipulations from the member and provide relevant updates to the member.

    Identify missing, incomplete, or invalid documentation. Ensure specific details are accurate and numbers are valid for accuracy.

    Recognize and resolve challenges early in the process to ensure accuracy, and to provide a seamless member experience.

    Responsible for ensuring all loan documentation is accurate and complete in accordance with the Underwriter's approval before funding the loan packet.

    Balance competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, goal-driven environment.

  • Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Licensure, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    Education:

    • 2+ years Financial Institution experience (preferred)

    • High school or equivalent

    Experience:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Detailed oriented, quality and precision focused, the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

    • Aggressive, competitive and growth focused to exceed performance goals

    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    • Member focused

    • Team engagement, cooperative and collaborative

    • Consistent professional communication with the Consumer Underwriters

    • Effective, consistent and professional follow up with borrowers regarding their loan status, providing exceptional member service

    • Ability to work within the established Service Level Agreements set by management

    • Ability to work independently and responsibly, adheres to credit union guidelines and procedures

    • Ability to after normal business hours or weekends if the need arises.

    • While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 8 hours per day, or more if necessary.

    • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    • This position may require travel based on business needs.

    Arrangement Hybrid Production: On average 2-3 daysper month, depending onbusiness need.
