Lab Assistant Path-Central Admin Full Time 86337BR Job Summary The Biobank Lab Assistant will be responsible for accessioning, inventorying, and organizing biospecimens into the research database as well as the archival specimen storage; entering and managing research database information and updates; and obtaining appropriate specimens for individual research projects. In addition, the Lab Assistant will work closely with Department of Urology to assist in an ongoing research project to digitize pathology H&E slides in Urology for current and future research projects by obtaining appropriate specimens, cataloging and recording all information about specimens into the research database, de-identifying and preparing slides, loading and unloading slides into the scanner, and performing quality control checks of the digital images. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $21.47 - $25.29 (Hourly Rate).
