Position Summary
Adjunct faculty are needed to teach in the Department of Social Work in the following areas:


  • BSW Program

  • MSW Program

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in the Social Work Department during Spring semester 2026
  • Prepare and teach lessons and assign learning activities as appropriate
  • Assess student learning
  • Meet with students as needed

Minimum Requirements


  • MSW degree in Social Work or related field
  • Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university
  • Available to teach on-campus in Joliet, IL

Preferred Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Social Work
  • Higher education teaching experience in undergraduate social work education, expertise in HBSE series, and macro practice
  • Active Professional Educators License (PEL)
  • Professional experience as a licensed Social Worker

Hours/Shift/Work Schedule
Based on Social Work department needs/course schedules.
Physical Requirements of Position
Work performed in classroom settings with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. This sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
