About the Role

We're looking for an analytical, collaborative professional to join our team as an Senior Automation Specialist. In this role, you will analyze, design, develop, test, and implement intelligent automation solutions that improve process efficiency and reduce costs. You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and deliver scalable automations. You will also monitor and optimize existing solutions while fostering adoption and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, test, and implement automation workflows, scripts, and tools across operational and business processes.
  • Partner with IT, Operations, and business units to identify use cases and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automations for reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to map processes, evaluate automation fit, and recommend improvements.
  • Create test plans, including test data and cases, and validate end-to-end outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using APIs and databases; write medium-complex SQL for optimization and analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to users adopting automation tools and best practices.
  • Communicate status, risks, and blockers clearly to managers and stakeholders; meet timelines and deliverables.
  • Evaluate and incorporate new technologies (e.g., LLMs, RPA platforms) to drive innovation.

Basic Qualifications

  • College/University degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in automation development, process improvement, or systems integration.
  • Hands-on experience with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).
  • Scripting proficiency (Python, PowerShell) and ability to create reusable components.
  • Ability to write and optimize medium-complex SQL.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with process mapping and opportunity identification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with Snowflake and AI tools, including incorporating LLMs into solutions.
  • Knowledge of APIs, systems integration, Smartsheet/Alteryx, and workflow platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder partnership skills to drive business outcomes.

Location: Hopkins, MN

The hiring base salary range for this position is $75,500 to $103,800 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
