R&D Product Transfer Engineer

We are in search of aProduct Transfer Engineerto help our team develop synthetic patient fluids for calibrating and QCing products coming through our new product development pipeline. As our R&D pipeline continues to grow so has our need for hands on laboratory experimentation to develop robust processes to transfer to operations. A successful candidate for this job role will be comfortable working at the laboratory bench, pulling together data sets and will work with mentors on the team to learn analysis methods. The ability to collaborate and work as part of a team is critical to this role. This is a high-impact, position where you may be working on multiple experiments at once.

What will you do?
  • Perform studies during process development to help create calibration systems leading to robust process transfer from R&D to operations.

  • Perform experiments using appropriate methods to determine component sensitivity and establish acceptable process windows for manufacturing synthetic patient fluid calibrators.

  • Help to develop standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall process development and transfer to operations.

  • Participate in and report out to project teams across multiple disciplines to create stable and reproducible fluid materials that ensure our products meet requirements.

  • Solve routine problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions. Split complex problems into set of simple problems.

  • Work with moderately complex data sets; understand, interpret, and discuss data. Provide data and make recommendations.

  • Contribute to Design History Record or New Product Transfer documentation.

What do you need to succeed?
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related fieldora Bachelor's in Science with 3+ years of laboratory experience.

  • A history of good laboratory practices.

  • A natural passion for learning new things, critical thinking and solving problems.

  • Effectively collaborates and communicates with colleagues and others in related areas to provide support, exchange information and create efficient processes.

  • Strong ability to generate clearly written reports.

  • The ability to work well within a cross functional team.

  • The ability to work on multiple experiments with some direct supervision.

  • Experience with JMP is preferred, working knowledge in MS Office required.
