ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Duration: This assignment is anticipated to last 10 months

Compensation and Benefits: $26.54-$32.57 per hour. Eligible for Mid-level Medical Benefits, Vacation, Sick, and Holiday pay.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Location: Campus/Hybrid - This will be a hybrid work schedule and will require 2 days/week on campus and more as needed based on events/needs.

DESCRIPTION

Provide support in the student affairs area as the graduate advisor.

Student advising. Individual will be responsible for advising students in our BS/MS program, MS students, and PhD students. This includes providing guidance on curriculum, academic standing, and degree audits. Will be responsible for coordinate and working on financial support and employment for graduate students.

Outreach and recruitment. They will be responsible for helping with any outreach and recruitment efforts. Review applications and provide recommendations to faculty.

Related projects and event assistance. Individual will be responsible for working on various projects and events, including planning, execution, and support, as they related to the degree programs and our students.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.

  • Knowledge of and demonstrated working experience in student affairs operation at the university level.

  • Working knowledge of graduate and undergraduate admissions policies and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills with the ability to compose original and/or confidential correspondence and reports.

  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office programs: excel, word, power point, and Adobe Acrobat. Strong organizational skills, ability to interpret and apply policy.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $55,400 - $93,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $26.53 - $44.92

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
