The Baker laboratory in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University-Newark is seeking two Post-Doctoral Associates; anticipated start date is November 1, 2025. Description of positions is as follows:
Performs professional entry-level structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (
MRI), transcranial magnetic stimulation (
TMS), and human electrophysiology (
EEG) data acquisition and analysis using standard and advanced techniques. Keeps records of work performed and maintains a database as required. Collects, sorts, and processes
MRI and
EEG data, and performs data analysis. Maintains and keeps the
MRI,
TMS,
EEG data organized in accordance with established procedures and regulations. Trains and leads students through various analysis-related activities. Coordinates and schedules lab students' work shifts. Assists in subject recruitment, performing experiments and data collection. Provides technical and administrative support as needed. Completes work under immediate and close supervision, with specific instructions on routine or semi-routine work and/or within established work parameters for the unit. Makes decisions or choices following standard practices and procedures. Work is usually reviewed upon completion. Performs professional work requiring general knowledge and basic application and use of
MRI,
EEG, and
TMS concepts, theories, terminology, and practices. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Ph.D. in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, or cognitive neuroscience. Applicants should have expertise in neuroimaging,
EEG and/or
TMS, and have programming skills and experience conducting human experiments. |
