About the role

The Internal Audit Manager contributes to the establishment of audit strategies and ensures successful execution of the internal audit plan. The Manager leads integrated audits of financial, IT and operational processes as well as performs risk assessments. The Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the activities of assigned auditors, performing ad-hoc internal audit projects, and providing support to other department members to achieve their designated portions of the internal audit plan.

Work Location: Florham Park, NJ

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office 2 days from home)

What you will do:

• Leads and participates directly in the performance of activities designed to achieve the internal audit plan and ensures timely delivery of high-quality audit results.
• Ensures that the department's resources are properly assigned and sufficient to carry out the internal audit plan.
• Responsible for monitoring the department's progress toward the achievement of objectives set forth in the internal audit plan.
• Liaises with the other audit teams and facilitates and coordinates integrated internal audits.
• Drafting, reviewing, and delivering of internal audit reports as we as ensuring that management responds adequately to the issues and recommendations set forth in such audit reports.
• Assisting with elements of the annual SOX assessment/testing.
• Develops and maintains a network of productive relationships with senior company management and is committed to continually satisfying internal audit's stakeholders.
• Uses network to continually identify (or become alerted to) risks and conditions that might require the deployment or re-alignment of internal audit resources to respond.
• Participates in a formal company-wide risk assessment and integrates it with the internal audit plan/universe.
• Develops new strategies for audit that focus on emerging risks and proactive risk mitigation.
• Maintains an understanding of the industry, business trends and emerging developments of relevance, and shares this knowledge frequently with the department members.
• Takes an active role in the professional development of the staff and ensures the maintenance of the appropriate credentials required to sustain the caliber of the department.
• Assists with managing the growth of the department including the evaluation of job candidates and coordinating recruiting efforts with the human resources department.
• Facilitates and drives a quality-oriented environment stressing continuous improvement ideas/opportunities within the department and throughout the business.
• Fosters a collaborative environment for everyone to bring forth ideas and opinions.
• Contributes to the evolution of internal audit by incorporating data analytics, RPA, dashboarding, ai, etc.

What you will need:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or another appropriate major.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.) required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in auditing, inclusive of staff management.
• Working knowledge of IT control environments and financial reporting.
• Excellent project management, written, verbal, and inter-personal skills.
• Ability to travel.
