Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Product Marketing Specialist to join their team in North Mankato, MN! In this role, you will focus on product development and brand management. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for guiding new product introductions from concept to market launch, managing product life cycles, and ensuring offerings are competitive, innovative, and aligned with customer needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, establish and lead direction for new product introductions for brand assignments
  • Manage product life cycles within each brand from market launch to retirement
  • Examine, assess and format data from all sources; creatively looking for patterns and trends
  • Ongoing research of marketplace design and product trends; trend forecasting
  • Pulse and awareness of competition, creating product strategies to differentiate
  • Understanding of the customer, retail partner and end consumer
  • Translate and scope findings into product assortments that are fresh, innovative, relevant; prepare proposal and present findings
  • Communicate new product direction to design team; review concepts, provide feedback and approve art for production, press proofs
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing and pricing leaders; understanding production requirements, raw materials, inventory, costs
  • Presentation and handoff to project managers, data, marketing and e-commerce teams; create detailed product spec documents
  • Manage product development schedule, bringing projects to completion on time
  • Partner with sales and customer service teams; new product Q&A, prepare and lead customer presentations, review and implement feedback
  • Assist with product development and administrative tasks such as, but not limited to, compliance, data sheets, sample requests and pricing

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, or related field, OR equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in product marketing, product development, or a related creative/marketing role
  • Strong creative and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market trends into product opportunities
  • Working knowledge of design principles (layout, fonts, color, patterns) and print production processes
  • Strong analytical and research skills; comfortable working with sales data and consumer insights
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, including presentations
  • Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

We Would Prefer:

  • Experience in the printing, stationery, or related consumer goods industry
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, plus Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to turn design and trend research into innovative product assortments

Location/Work Structure: This is a hybrid position based in North Mankato, MN, with an expectation of being onsite 3 days per week. Candidates should be located within commuting distance.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $50,000 - $57,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
