Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Purchasing Analyst will support the Purchasing Manager by owning critical purchasing processes and helping to drive cost savings across our asphalt plants, quarries, paving operations, and truck shops. This role will take ownership of routine procurement functions, manage data, and support targeted projects that improve cost control, vendor management, and service to the field. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to build a strong foundation in procurement while making a visible impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
    Executes and manages purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and invoice resolution for materials operations.
  • Supports day-to-day purchasing functions, ensuring efficient and timely service to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintains accurate purchasing and spending data; assists with reporting, analysis, and opportunity tracking.
  • Partners with operations teams to understand needs and ensure effective vendor coordination and delivery.
  • Assists with procurement project execution, including sourcing initiatives, contract renewals, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicates with suppliers to request quotes, verify pricing, and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Helps identify and implements cost savings opportunities and supplier performance metrics.


Qualifications

  • This position requires in-person work at our regional office
  • 0-2 years of experience or desire to grow in purchasing, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel to our various locations as needed to support projects and build relationships.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel and Power BI and use of pivot tables and comfortable working with data and purchasing systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with field and office teams.
  • Driven, dependable, and ready to grow within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
