Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, individuals must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined below reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.   • Assist with and perform commercial and industrial roofing projects, including roof installations, replacements, waterproofing, and repairs.
  • Support job site preparation and setup as directed by the lead, including inspecting equipment, materials, and structures for readiness and safety.
  • Apply roofing products such as adhesives, caulking, sealants, and coatings according to project specifications.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations, ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines without compromising quality or craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with crew members and the foreman to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality project completion.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite, including removal of debris from roof surfaces and surrounding areas.
  • Provide support to roofing crews as needed, adapting to project-specific tasks and responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and project success.


Required Education & Experience:



  • Skilled in using hand and power tools, with the physical ability to climb ladders and work safely at elevated heights.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions, maintaining focus and safety at all times.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately, including marking and recording measurements and distances.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to safety, consistently following detailed procedures and adapting to changing work environments.
  • Basic knowledge of the construction industry or field service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with various roofing systems-including built-up roofing, EPDM, heat-welded TPO/PVC membranes, and coatings-is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Willing to join Local 96 or the appropriate local roofing union.


Other Details:



  • This position requires regular in-person reporting to job sites located in and around Duluth, MN and surrounding areas.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be available for flexible work hours and willing to travel to local and regional job sites, including overnight stays.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $25.27-$38.12. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience. Wages and other benefits are paid in accordance with the Local 96 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
