Staffmark is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Sparks, NV.

Pay: $21.50/hr

Shifts available: 6am-2:30pm or 8am-4:30pm

You will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of food products. This role involves operating material handling equipment-including reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, stand-up dock loaders, walk and pallet jacks-and using radio frequency technology. The position operates in a warehouse and requires strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:



  • Uphold safety standards at all times through vigilant, proactive behavior and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Efficiently and safely load, unload, and transport products using assigned equipment.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing freight for accuracy and condition; conduct inventory and cycle counts as required.
  • Correctly direct product to appropriate storage or staging locations within the warehouse.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area - remove loose debris such as wood or plastic; sweep and secure aisles.
  • Report damaged equipment, rack damage, or other safety hazards immediately to supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned, consistent with the role's scope and company needs.



Qualifications & Education Requirements:



  • Minimum of 12 months of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably with material handling equipment.
  • Ability to become certified to operate reach trucks and forklifts.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and radio frequency (RF) scanning technologies is required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of reach forklift experience preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to read labels and numerical data accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines reliably.
  • Comfortable working in cold conditions and wearing required personal protective equipment.
