Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Inventory Control Clerk to be based at our Houston, TX location. You will be responsible for daily inventory transactions in JDE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of inventory control experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. A minimum of a high school diploma. They will have minimal understanding of Microsoft excel, word, outlook, Basware, and knowledge of JDE or other warehouse management systems is a plus. Strong communication skills are extremely important. The ability to maintain work on a timely schedule and ability to adapt to situations. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you'll do:

Inventory Control Clerk responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain and update filing systems, records, and databases
• Prepare and distribute reports, inventory transactions, and other communications
• Conduct inventory transactions and reconcile discrepancies
• Enter work orders, submit part setup (BOM/ Routing) requests, and process order transfer request
• Coordinate with purchasing and production departments to ensure smooth operations
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs
• Demonstrate and promote our key Atkore values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability through actions and decisions

What you'll bring:

• High school diploma preferred
• 1-3 years of related work-experience required
• Computer literate in spreadsheets and work applications, including Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Hands on, accountable team player with the willingness to learn as well as teach others. This position requires extensive time spent within a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of AS400, and/or JD Edwards a plus
• Well organized and able to process large amounts of information

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. The manufacturing plant is not climate controlled. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and safety work shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted

Within 3 months, you'll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role
• Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $18.66 to $25.65. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
