Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Customer Service Specialist will provide critical support to three Outside Sales Representatives, helping drive customer satisfaction, efficiency, and growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for inquiries from Sellers, Operations, and Customers.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer calls, site visits, and data collection to identify customer needs.
  • Define project scope following customer interactions and collaborate with the team to prepare and deliver proposals.
  • Support sales efforts to secure purchase orders (POs).
  • Partner with Operations-particularly Field Services-to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist with loading job details into the ERP system and hand off to the Resource Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service scope-from testing, repair, and maintenance-to predictive services and consulting aimed at improving equipment reliability.
  • Perform administrative and project-related tasks as needed.
  • Learn and utilize Motorbase to help drive efficiency and reduce response times across customer inquiries, project execution, invoicing, and collections.
  • Learn and use CRM tools to support pipeline management and help move opportunities from lead to proposal to order.
  • Support Whitespace and Cross-Sell initiatives by managing incoming leads and progressing them through the sales cycle.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects that enhance responsiveness and deliver an Unmatched Customer Experience for both external and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience in an industrial environment or equivalent education preferred.
  • Technical background in electrical and/or mechanical products.
  • Strong knowledge of motor and pump repair services, including machining, electrical testing, and assembly processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and IPS business systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Pay Rate Details: $90,000 - $110,000
