As a Sr. PI Planning Advisor at Enbridge, you will execute core processes of threat management programs for assigned segments of the Gas Transmission & Midstream (GTM) system. You will also oversee and ensure the Integrity plans and programs are complete and designed for achieving As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) safety targets including zero rupture and zero leak goals.

Here's what you will do:

  • Conduct integrity assessment and analysis for integrity threat management programs related to the Enbridge GTM pipeline and facility systems, with a focus on fitness-for-purpose, including Corrosion, Crack, Deformation Threat Management and Threat Integration.

  • Conduct and support data analyses supporting of the integrity programs, including analysis of in-line inspection, Direct Assessment, field deployed monitoring devices and recommendations for remediation from Nondestructive Examination (NDE) field results.

  • Lead and foster the enhancement/update of integrity management processes, integrity plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

  • Support data integration and records management activities relating to core functions.

  • Drive validation and quality assurance of the threat management programs.

  • Interpret the Codes and Standards to ensure the continued compliance of integrity management processes with US regulations, standards and best practices. Participate in regulatory audits as required.

  • Provide support for decision records and technical report deliverables.

  • Lead and/or support projects related to assigned lines such as pressure restriction implementation/removal, audits, failure investigation, engineering assessments, etc.

  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to support integrity activities and ensure integrity requirements are addressed.

  • Provide a weekly status report summarizing assigned lines and program activities.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Lead providing support and review of procedures as assigned.

Who you are:

You have:

  • Technologist diploma with 8 years of experience in Pipeline, Facility, Oil & Gas, or Midstream industries.

  • Experience in managing integrity programs, projects, and programs including a focus on mitigation strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of 49 CFR 192, CSA-Z662, API 1163, B31.8, B31.8S.

  • Strong understanding of PHMSA pipeline regulations.

  • Work in an independent environment under the scrutiny and pressure of regulatory agencies.

Preferred Assets:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • AMPP/NACE certifications, or capacity to obtain certifications (PCIM, CP1, CP2, etc.).

  • Field experience in pipeline and/or facility integrity work and projects.

  • Drive disciplined analysis by utilizing computer software, excel spreadsheets, and data analysis tools necessary to conduct detailed data analyses.

  • Embrace change through the ability to seek process improvements.

  • Well-organized and ability to demonstrate personal agility.

  • Ability to influence and work effectively with others.

  • Support team success through mentorship of junior Staff.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is office based with occasional requirements to travel to field excavations, industry committees/conferences, and other office locations.

  • Travel 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
