Working Hours: Split-Shift, Monday through Friday 11:00AM-7:30PM

Classification: Non-exempt-Hourly

Supervisor: Manager, Facilities and Equipment

Summary:Self-motivated Individual that will keep manufacturing plant, office areas and grounds in clean and orderly condition by performing custodial and general maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

• Sweeps and thoroughly mops all building aisles, stairs and office tile floors daily. Vacuums carpeted floors and floor mats using an industrial vacuum.
• Cleans and disinfects cafeteria and office break room daily by sweeping floors, wiping & washing tables, microwaves, refrigerators, chairs, counters, trash receptacles, floors, walls and interior windows.
• Cleans and dusts lobby area, office entrance and conference rooms daily
• Cleans all restrooms and locker rooms daily by sweeping & mopping floors and disinfecting (wiping & washing urinals, toilets, sinks, stalls, walls, floors, mirrors, etc.) with disinfectant.
• Supplies all consumables to the restrooms and cafeteria daily.
• Empties trash and garbage containers into dumpsters and recyclables into recycling bins.
• Cleans and polishes interior and exterior windows per assigned schedule.
• Cleans and dusts office furniture as needed.
• Completes routine building maintenance tasks including but not limited to changing light bulbs, routine plumbing, painting walls trim and floors, tool repair and general preventive maintenance.
• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks and salts as needed.
• Removes debris from the grounds around the building by sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, and emptying garbage cans and ash buckets.
• Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure all cleaning chemicals are controlled and compliant to promote safe work conditions for all employees,
• Provides support to Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Notifies Facilities and Maintenance Manager concerning need for cleaning supplies and routine building repairs.
• Participates in all scheduled mandatory training.
• Conducts all communications with other employees, customers and vendors in a respectful and professional manner
• Completes other custodial and maintenance duties as assigned by manager.

Educationand Experience:

High school diploma or GED

A minimum of two years of industrial cleaning experience preferred

A minimum of two years of plant facilities and maintenance duties in a manufacturing environment preferred

Mechanical Aptitude Ability to be on feet throughout shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to troubleshoot routine building and building system issues
