Work Period: January 2026 - June 2026

Location & Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a minimum 4 days per week onsite in our Boston office. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Learn the development of new and innovative power electronic concepts to charge and power Sonos' Portable/Wearable products

• Participate in the implementation of highly efficient wired and wireless charging solutions to deliver unmatched consumer experiences

• Contribute to the creation of new features and help integrating new/existing technologies

• Debug complex low-level problems that may span interfaces between hardware & software

• Co-develop algorithms, state-transition flowcharts, and analysis for each regime of operation

• Power Electronics Schematic and PCB layout design and review

• Define HW verification tests, develop new test methodologies, and derive test limits

• Work with development partners/peers to perform failure analysis and corrective actions

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Basic Qualifications include:

• Highly motivated to learn, passionate about electronics, and a strong sense of ownership

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Electrical Engineering taking or plan to take the following major courses:

  • Circuit theory

  • Power Electronics

  • Computer Systems Engineering

  • Computer Organization and Design

Preferred Qualifications would include basic understanding of these Engineering Topics

• Ability to use electrical simulation and analysis tools such as SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink and familiarity with electronics test equipment

• Highly motivated to learn, passionate about electronics, and a strong sense of ownership

• Solid understanding of Linux

• Basic understanding of embedded system design

PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a College or University with a preferred field of study in Electrical Engineering

• Available to participate in our full-time co-op program from January-June 2026

• Ability to work out of our Boston office a minimum 4 days per week

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future. Sonos is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role at this time.
